Now that the dust has settled and the celebrations have died down it's appropriate to recognise the contribution of a number of people involved with Kildangan senior team.

First and foremost, the senior management team of John Scanlon and Davy Anderson. This is their third year in charge of Kildangan seniors and both John and Davy worked tirelessly to secure the championship and bring to an end ten years of frustration since our last appearance in a county final. Training started in the dark days of January and continued two and at times three times a week ever since.

Kildangan were unlucky to lose the league semi-final against Round Towers, however encouraged by John and Davy we put that defeat behind us and regrouped for the championship, where we kept a clean sheet winning all our games.  John and Davy ensured that every eventuality was covered and formed a great bond with the players and committee, not always an easy task when dealing with a diverse group of people.

Thanks go to Ger Whelan for seeing to the inevitable knocks and bruises, both at training and during the games.

Our support at the County Final was fantastic, both young and not so young, Kildangan native and newcomers to the area, decked in green and gold to cheer the team to victory.

Finally a word of thanks to all our sponsors, particularly the Cross Keys for generously sponsoring a set of Jerseys and Monasterevin Motors who sponsored training tops.

Many other people, too many to mention, helped the club over the year, a sincere thanks to everyone.
