Primary School Coaching Restarts

A six week school Coaching Programme supported by coaches from Kildangan GAA Club started this week in Kildangan Primary School. This follows on from a twelve week program which we ran last term . We were very pleased with the children's response and the program was judged a great success.

Thankfully we were invited back by the school for this school term. We ran our first session on Friday last where the focus was on foot passing, side step and hand pass. Over the next five weeks we would hope to cover the basics of gaelic football in a series of sessions.

All our coaches are Garda vetted and most have done either a fundamentals or a level one coaching course.Skills are taught in an age and ability appropriate manner and with a view to optimising the fun element.

Thanks to Ms Murphy and the rest of the staff for inviting us back and helping out with the sessions.
