Meet Ronnie Delaney And Tony Griffin

Meet Ronnie Delany and Tony Griffin  at a  Motivational Evening in Clane GAA Friday 4th February at 8 pm.

Tony Griffin is a remarkable Clare man who won All Star Hurling Award in 2006. He took a year out from his sport the following year to cyle 500 miles across Canada and raised one million euro for cancer in memory of his late father. 
His book " screaming at the Sky" is about self discovery and growth.

Ronnie Delany was 21 years old when he won the olympic 1500m Gold Medal in Melbourne in 1956 in record time of 3.41.2. He remained the last olympic Champion until Michael Carruth in 1992. These two exceptional and inspriring men will speak about " The challenges and demons which they faced in respective sporting careers"

All Monies raised on the night will go to charities  AWARE which fights depression  & Little Way Cancer support centre in Clane.
