Cúchulainn Gaels recorded a big win over Naas on Sunday morning at a gloriously sunny Athgarvan.  A brace of points early on from Conor Mulholland were followed by fine scores from Tom Treacy and Shane Smith to put the Gaels well in control.  A couple of Jack Behan goals and a third from Conor Mulholland built up a sizeable lead as the score read 3.6 to 0.2 at the break in favour of the home side.

It was more of the same in the second half as the Howard brothers, Josh Clinton and Robert Hewison refused to allow Naas back into the game with some excellent defending.  Edward Bond worked hard throughout and Ryan Moran fired over some fine points.  Dermot Hickey popped up to score a goal late on, just after Jack Behan had completed his hat trick.  Naas showed good spirit in scoring a goal and two in the closing minutes but it was a facile win in the end for Cúchulainn Gaels, who finished on a scoreline of 5:12 to 1:05.

Tougher opposition lies ahead as we meet Ballykelly and Two Mile House in our two remaining fixtures. However, based on this performance, the Gaels will be a match for any team.
