Kildare Under 13 Development Blitz Report

Last Saturday morning, Oct 29th, three of our underage players had the honour to represent their county at a Kildare U13 development blitz held at the National Sports Centre in Dublin.

Cian Murtagh, John Kelly and Cormac Finnegan turned out in the Lily White colours and played three games over the morning. The lads joined with players from Kilcullen and Round Towers to form a Kildare team that won all of their matches.

John Kelly captained his county in the first match as Kildare beat Wicklow by 2-08 to 1-02 and John lead by example. The second match saw Cormac Finnegan turning in a fine display of attacking wing play as Kildare South beat Kildare North in a tighter contest that the 4-09 to 2-04 suggests.

The lads rounded off the morning by beating Wicklow North with Cian Murtagh in hot form scoring 3-02 to add to his goal in the second match.

The lads represented their club with pride and well done to them all. This was the first of three sessions to be held before the end of November and a great credit to all in Kildare GAA who organised it.
