Kildangan Under 13s Keep Control Against Ellistown

Our 13 team travelled to Ellistown for a back match from round one on Wednesday evening.

Kildangan won the toss and decided to take the advantages of Ellistown's slight down hill slope and the decent breeze for the first half. It was a quick start for the away team with a goal in the opening minute. Goals came fast for both teams with the odd point thrown in and at half time Kildangan had the edge 3-4 t Ellistowns 3-0

The half time talk was honest and to the point. An increase in determination and effort was needed because the advantages hadn't paid the expected dividends in the first half. If they were to come away a win into the breeze and uphill it would have to be a real battling, high tempo effort.

That is exactly what the lads from 1 to 15 gave. They took the half time advice onto the pitch and ran out 6-6 to 4-2 winners, cementing their position at second in the league, with only points difference separating themselves and Grangenolvin.
