Kildangan Under 13 League Update

posted 1 Sep 2016, 17:02 by rúnaí Cill Daingin
With two rounds of the Under 13 Bord na nÓg (all county) League played, Kildangan top the table with full points. Playing on a full size pitch with adult goals does not seem to have fazed the lads too much as we have put up some tremendous scores in the opening rounds.
In round one the team travelled to St, Kevins and despite conceding 9:06 the team won by outscoring the opposition on points, our final tally of 8:16 demonstrating that the full sized goals seems to no obstacle to getting scores.
One Wednesday evening we hosted Grangenolvan in round two, normally games between these two teams are tight affairs, however Kildangan carried on our good form from the opening round and scored 10:06 to Grange's 1:08, a scoreline that would not be out of place on a hurling field.
Round three takes the team on the long trek up to Cappagh on Sunday morning, for a 10.30 am start and hopefully we can continue the good run of form from the previous games.
The full list of under 13 league fixtures are located here, we would encourage everyone to come along and support the team, particularly for the home games
