Kildangan GAA Announce New Juvenile Amalgamation

Kildangan GAA are currently amalgamated with Ellistown and Athgarvan from under 13 to under 21 level as Cúchulainn Gaels. The aim of this amalgamation was to provide football for all teams within this age range. Over the the past year we have experienced difficulties in some age groups due to factors beyond the control and outside the best efforts  of Kildangan GAA. Therefore, we have decided to withdraw from the Cúchulainn Gaels amalgamation with immediate effect.

Following much discussion and deliberation on this matter in recent months, we are delighted to announce the formation of a new underage amalgamation with Castlemitchell GAA Club.  We believe this amalgamation will provide our young players with competitive football at all ages from under 13 up to under 21.

Kildangan GAA are fully committed to providing football for all teams and we have worked hard to bring about this amalgamation, Castlemiitchell are equally committed to these aims.  The teenage years are extremely important in a players development, as it is well known that children and youths who play sport during these formative years have a better chance of continuing a healthy lifestyle into adulthood. Therefore, we would urge parents and guardians to encourage your children to attend training and games.

An open meeting for the parents/guardians of all players within these age groups will take place in Kildangan GAA clubhouse at 8pm on Monday January 6th to discuss the new amalgamation.  This is purely an information meeting to make all parents/guardians aware of how the new amalgamation will work and answer any queries that you may have. We would ask that  all parents/guardians to please attend as this is a one off meeting which will outline all aspects of the set-up for 2014 and beyond.
