Kildangan Senior team made a dissapointing exit from this years Reserve C Championship when we were defeated by Sallins in the semi-final on Monday evening last, 19th September.
The final score of 1:10 to 1:06 in favour of Sallins tells only part of the story. Kildangan were competitive from the off and went to the break two points up 1:04 to 0:05. However, playing into a strong breeze and with the rain blowing in their faces it was not enough of a cushion against a Sallins side growing in confidence. Injuries to full back Declan McGrath and full forward Tom Moran did not help the situation.

The team must be commended for the way in which they battled on in the second half, even when things were not going their way. People should appreciate the time and effort given by the complete panel, team management and selectors to preparations and training. Starting last February, the team trained at least twice a week throughout the Summer and into the Autumn.
Unfortunately no silverware has been won at senior level this year, however the team have done themselves, the club and the village proud.

Team: Sean Pollard, Billy Stevenson, Tom Deveraux, Sean Francis, Colin Christie, Rory Jacob, Pauric Casey, Gabriel Murtagh, Alan Courtney, Richard Morgan, Shane Stafford, Eric O'Hara, Tom Moran, Brendan Abbey, Robbie Murray, John Miller, Alan Mahon, Tom Foxe, Keith Burns.
