Kildangan claimed a Championship semi-final slot with a comprehensive 4:10 to 1:08 win against Ardclough in Raheens Tuesday evening. The result defied many peoples expectations as Ardclough had dropped down from the Junior A ranks this year and had beaten Caragh comprehensively in the opening round of the this years Reserve C championship.
Kildangan got a dream start with the award of a penalty in the opening minutes. The Ardclough keeper did well to block the Stephen Quigley shot, the rebound fell to Stephen who made no mistake on the second attempt to put Kildangan a goal to the good. Stephen added a point on the next move to continue his good start.

Further first half points by Tom Moran, Eric O'Hara and Gabriel Murtagh and a well taken goal by Tom Moran left Kildangan 2:06 to 1:05 ahead at half time.
Ardclough showed how dangerous they could be in the first half with an extremely well worked goal, moving the ball at pace from the defence to attack, the shot giving the Kildangan keeper no chance. However they were also guilty of some woeful shooting, with numerous wides throughout the half.

On the restart, any hopes Ardclough entertained about a revival were dashed when Pauric Casey struck for a third Kildangan goal. It was a piece of artistry; directly from the throw in the ball was won and played into space near the end-line. Pauric came onto the ball at speed, chipped it into his hands without pause and from the narrowest of angles put it past the hapless Ardclough keeper.
Ardclough replied with a point to take the score to 3:06 to 1:06. Kildangan, however kept the scoreboard moving with well worked points by Stephen Quigley, Brandon Foley, and Tom Moran.

Tom Moran put the icing on the cake with a second goal midway through the half to leave Kildangan comfortable winners on a final tally of 4:10 to 1:08.

Kildangan go on to play Sarsfields, venue and time to be advised.

Kildangan Scores; Stephen Quigley 1-5 (1-1 from penalty, frees), Tom Moran 2-2, Pauric Casey 1-0, Eric O'Hara, Brandon Foley, Gabriel Murtagh 0-1 each.
