 Under 15’s – Abbey Rangers v St. Kevin’s

After two false starts with the opposition withdrawing, our under 15’s finally got their campaign under way with a very good win against St. Kevin’s on Sunday morning.
Our lads roared into the game with four points in the opening five minutes with Eoin O’Fearghail, Daniel Gilbert and Oran Phelan getting fine scores.

St. Kevin’s settled with a couple of points but a Mikey Delahunt goal opened the gap further as we reached half time 1.12 to 0.3 ahead.

The second half was a similar tale with Oisin Hyland, Joey O’Sullivan and Jamie Robinson all pointing to keep us well ahead.

The visitors did manage to raise plenty of white flags of their own and finished the game with ten points. The best score of the day came in the dying seconds when Colm Coughlan chipped a superb lob over the St. Kevin’s goalkeeper for our second goal as it ended in a 2.19 to 0.10 victory for Abbey Rangers.
