Abbey Rangers travelled to Castlemitchell on Sunday for the first round of the U14 league. Conditions couldn't have been much worse with a very wet pitch getting wetter by the minute and a very strong wind. The Rangers got the scoring going playing down hill with the wind in the first half, and it was answered by the home team soon after. By the half time whistle, it was Castlemitchell with a one point lead.
One goal apiece and a single point in total in the second half meant the match finished all square 1-3 to 1-3. A fair result in the end and here's hoping for better conditions next time.
The Ballykelly/Kildangan amalgamation host Kill in round two on Sunday with a throw-in time of 10.30am. Please come and support!
